Interaction 2007
(This degree will
change to the the BS in Interactive Media
degree effective fall 2007)
The Bachelor of Science in Human-Computer Interaction
is a multidisciplinary degree program designed to study methods that improve
the working relationship between humans and computers. HCI practitioners
enable individuals and groups to make more effective use of computers by creating
better user interfaces and supportive surrounding environments. Drawing on principles
from such diverse disciplines as art, psychology, engineering and computer science,
HCI involves the analysis, design, development and evaluation of interfaces
that are easy to use but powerful enough to accomplish complex tasks.
