Course Description
Principles of host, server and information security issues. Review of security methods used to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the information stored on a host or servers. Linux and Windows Network Operating Systems will be used as examples. The class will cover host/web server hardening, information asset classification, threat assessment and analysis, evidence retention and forensics. Course includes laboratory work with security tools, server hardening techniques and integrity checking methods.
