Course Description
In this advanced course, students investigate the writing in their intended fields, including common rhetorical situations, audiences, and purposes; style and genre conventions; and document and information design. Students apply professional writing principles to a major, career-related research project. The course also highlights methods of research and data analysis to produce rhetorically effective documents such as reports and proposals. The course may include topics such as collaboration, ethics, and intercultural communication. Suggested prerequisite: WRD 206 or basic familiarity with common workplace genres such as letters, memos, email, and reports. Formerly ENG 301.
